Description
Dimethylacetamide (DMAc) is a colorless, high-boiling, and polar aprotic solvent (CH3CON(CH3)2CH sub 3 CON open paren CH sub 3 close paren sub 2CH3CON(CH3)2) with a faint ammonia-like odor, widely used for dissolving polymers and in industrial chemical reactions. It is highly miscible with water, ethers, and aromatics, making it crucial for producing acrylic/elastane fibers and in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
